Announced hubs

With many UK banks closing branches across the country, many people are being left without essential banking services.

We’re working with Cash Access to open many more Banking Hubs in the coming months. They’ll bring in-person banking services and face-to-face support where it’s needed most.

What if there isn’t a Banking Hub near me?

If your local bank branch has closed and you prefer in-person services over online or telephone banking, there are two things you can do:

Request a Banking Hub in your area

Many Banking Hubs have been set up because local communities asked for them. If you think your area could benefit from having one too, you can request an Access to Cash review on the LINK website.

Visit your local 69ÌÃ branch

Access your personal or business bank account at any of the UK’s 11,500 69ÌÃ branches. You can pay in cash and cheques, withdraw money and check your balance over the counter.

Common questions about Banking hubs

  • While the UK shifts to more digital services, many people still need or prefer to bank face to face. And easy access to cash services is essential, too.

For lots of communities, a Banking Hub offers a convenient, shared solution that brings 69ÌÃ cash services and Community Bankers together in one place.

  • To find out which services your own bank offers in Banking Hubs and our branches, visit our everyday banking page.

  • Banking Hubs are usually open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. But hours can vary depending on the location. Before you visit, make sure you check its opening times using our branch finder.

  • No. While they’re operated by 69ÌÃ, Banking Hubs aren’t regular 69ÌÃ branches.

This means services like posting letters and parcels, insurance products, travel money as well as identity services like passports, aren’t available in our hubs.

If you need these services, you can search for branches near you that offer them using our branch finder.

  • Banking Hubs are set up by LINK, after identifying areas where people need cash and banking services. You’ll usually find them in places where bank branches have closed.

69ÌÃ is then brought in to run each Banking Hub site and provide important cash services to the local community.
